We really enjoyed Kenora and left there to drive to Thunder Bay. Found a nice campsite in Kakabeka Falls about 25 min west of Thunder Bay. Thunder Bay had the Terry Fox Monument (pic below) which was very cool to see.
From that spot we also got a terrific view of Lake Superior (pic below) The Picture is not great because the weather was cloudy & cool as we had another thunder & lightening storm but this one was not too bad. I believe that makes 5 Lightening storms to date. Lake Superior is the largest freshwater lake in the world by area and holds 10% of the world's surface fresh water. It looks like the ocean as it is so large. Volume is "3 quadrillion gallons of water". Will post better pics as we travel around the top of the Lake Other than that Thunder Bay was not on our favourites list. On Canada Day we went to Kakabeka falls which is approx. 5 min from our campsite and wow.(2 pic below) Some of the lakes and falls in Ontario are "Tea" colored because there are more wetland area which adds to more organic matter for the water to flow through. Kakabeka Falls was awesome so if we love these Falls just think how much we will love Niagara. Heading out to Sault St Marie
